We found out very quickly that it doesn’t take a lot of things to fill up 290 square feet. We had kitchen and bathroom supplies all over the place, and one bedroom worth of things covered the rest of the floor.
I (Michael) was starting to feel like we were living in the belly of a large fish – that’s the book of Jonah for you bible scholars.
Then Ikea to the rescue. We took a very long drive to Ikea where we purchased a few vertical storage pieces. The house started to become larger the more we stored things from top to bottom.
We’re finding out that vertical storage helps create more space, plus each piece of furniture should provide more than one function.
Thanks, for checking in on our progress. We’ll keep you posted.
